Project Background

The predecessor of Shanxi Medical University was the Shanxi Medical Training Institute, which was established in 1919 in the ancient city of Bingzhou.

After 104 years of construction and development, the university has become a medical university that excels in medicine while seamlessly integrating medicine with engineering, science, humanities, and management for well-rounded growth. Considering future expansion plans as well, and after a comprehensive evaluation across various factors, the final decision has been made to adopt the optical transmission solution and digital program-controlled switch products provided by Zhejiang Hengjie Communication Technology Co., Ltd.

Scheme Deployment:

During communication and collaboration between Hengjie Communications' Shanxi general agent and the client, this project has adopted the HJ-E900B digital program-controlled switch from Hengjie. Currently, 1,024 telephone lines have been deployed, and the entire voice system utilizes a network architecture that combines remote fiber-optic extension modules with VIOP extension units, ensuring comprehensive voice coverage across all teaching buildings and rooms. Additionally, the optical extension technology enhances various telephone functionalities, thereby elevating the overall quality of service.

Scheme features:

1. Single-unit capacity Supports up to 8,192 telephone lines. , employing lossless digital technology with mature expertise;

2. The network structure is simple, with devices directly connecting to the remote end via fiber optic/E1/Ethernet interfaces.

3. Highly scalable, supporting IP users, digital trunks, SIP trunks, and more;

4. Supports hot backup functionality for critical components such as the main control board, sub-control board, and power board;

5. Feature-rich, with remote control functionality identical to the main unit.
